Hi, I have posted a few questions before and just want to say thank you for all of your feedback.
she gets so scared at the smallest things and runs away everytime she gets depressed. i just wish i could show her that i love her and wont leaver like her other boyfriends have. I know I have personally said this before " A person can't get help unless they want to." She has in her own way made a decision. The woman I have been married to for for nearly 24 years is BP now, at least it has only recently been diagnosed.
Let her know that you are there for her even if it is jus as a friend check up on her every so often drop in for tea or coffee just be there as much as u can she will soon realise that your not goin anywhere and it will get better my bf was and still is my best friend everytime I felt noone cared he always came to show me I do have som I've read the book you were on about it is a little helpful but not that much have a look at bipolar for dummies its a lot more helpful, I'm not promising you that it's Gona work but all om saying is I have been withy bf for nearly a year now and even wen I did have my episode he was still there telling me were still best friends no matter what I'm not saying dedicate your life to her just keep letting her know ur there for her even if its jus to rant Jus make sure if u decide u do want to Give it a go that u try and convince her when she's in a normal state that there a loads of ways to help her cbt is really good I hope I've helped a little I jus saw this n felt like I needed to say this Good luck with ur decision I hope everything goes well for you Fia Disclaimer: The information provided in MDJunction is not a replacement for medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional medical advice. I know i love her and even bought a book when we were together called loving someone with bipolar.
she thought it was really sweet and loved it but used it against me when she was depressed saying i should get my answers in the book.i guess my question is why i do i care for her so much when it is so hard to keep her with me. I really hope that didnt come off mean, because that is very not me.
Become familiar with the symptoms so you can recognize if you need to seek help for your loved one. A woman struggling with this disorder may be unable to ask for help.
There are several different types of bipolar disorder, but this article addresses the most prevalent type, known as bipolar 1 disorder. Feelings of sadness that last for more than two weeks, worthlessness, an inability to concentrate, a loss of pleasure in most activities, significant changes in appetite or sleep patterns, and thoughts of suicide are all symptoms of a depressive episode. A period of elevated or irritable mood lasting longer than one week, inflated self-esteem, decreased need for sleep, excessive involvement in pleasure-seeking or high-risk behaviors like gambling or sexual promiscuity, and distractibility are all symptoms of a manic episode. Isolation can occur during the depressive episodes, as well as embarrassment or denial, which may lead a woman to avoid asking for help.which is surprising because she told me she wanted me to marry her just a couple days before she got depressed and broke up with me.
