Dhcp not updating dns server dynasty lovers dating sim walkthrough

Dont have a router there, only a 3750 tied in via a fiber link.I have been looking at the Cisco docs for getting this to work but nothing yet. With the advent of Windows 2000, many administrators were elated to hear that it contained a new feature called Dynamic DNS (DDNS).

Here is my config for DHCP on the switch -ip dhcp pool PC network 10.1.70.0 255.255.255.0 domain-name dns-server 10.1.1.1 10.1.1.2 default-router 10.1.70.1 lease 8This is an office across the street from the main building.

Our equipment (and also for example HP network printers) use option 81 in the DHCP protocol to specifically request the server to register both the DNS A and PTR records in DNS. I have checked the DHCP audit log but it shows no sign of authenticating or conneting problems. I'm NOT a system administrator, just a programmer ;-) Well, the problems we have began after a complete server hardware and software upgrade so it is certainly possible a mistake has been made...

I will forward your tips to our system administrators and hope they NOW are able to solve our problem... Kind regards, Tobias Olofsson ONLY if you don't use "Update Credentials" (a regulary user account with non-expiring password).

Why are only the XP machines added and not the rest ?

As a side info perhaps helpful, when examining the audit log in the dhcp subdirectory, for a complete week, not a single DNS update is made. Best regards, Tobias Olofsson Tip: If you add you own problems to someone else's thread there is a lower probability of receiving help.

For example, a client machine receives an IP address from DHCP and then DHCP automatically (as long as it is configured to support DDNS) passes along the host information for that machine to the DNS service.
